DIY Balloon Straws
This screams PARTY!!
Simple and sweet! That’s exactly what I’m loving about these balloon straws! A poppy and whimsical idea for birthday parties. A totally customizable way to keep track of your drink - with a bright and surprisingly modern touch!
Here's what you need...
- mini water balloons
- balloon pump
- adorable designer straws
- green construction paper
A fun, simple and modern touch for your next party!
Here's how you do it...
Blow up your balloon (keep it on the smaller side). Tie a knot. Then tie the balloon toward the top end of the straw. Cut out leafs from construction paper. Tape the leaf onto the backside of the balloon. (I use really thin pieces of Scotch Tape - You don’t want everyone seeing huge pieces of tape while their sipping their cocktail!) And that’s it!
Whichever berry or fruit is prominently featured in the drink, can then be visually represented by the balloon you choose! Yellow = lemons. Blue = blueberries. Red = strawberries. You're smart. You get the picture. I would suggest getting creative with the leaf - try using scrapbook paper to bring your custom balloon straw to the next level! Most importantly - have fun! xoxo
