Rock Photo Holder
Why use a FRAME when you could use a ROCK photo holder?! My gosh, these are too cute and CRAZY INEXPENSIVE. And PERFECT for surprise gifts for your friends! The customizing options are endless, which is why I LOVE THESE!!
Here's what you need...
- Rocks
- Copper Wire (craft grade)
- Spray Paint
- Painter's Tape
Here's how you do it...
1. Choose a base color for your rock. You may want to keep the natural color of the rock as your base (this is the EASIEST, and sometimes the prettiest method!). Spray paint your base -- It looks better if you can spray paint the entire rock, but if you are short on time, just spray paint the top and sides of the rock, and allow to completely dry.
2. Using painter's tape, cover the part of the rock that you want to remain as your base color. Spray paint the untaped part of the rock with a different color and allow to COMPLETELY DRY before removing the tape!
3. Take the copper wire and wrap it around the rock to your liking, and then bend it upwards. Create your desired shape at the top of the wire where your photo will be displayed. Remember the photo (or in my case, the inspirational card by Lumitory) will slide between the coiled wire, so make sure you loop the wire around a couple of times!
